Give one task a clear boundary

This page is a single-purpose 25 minute countdown. There are no break-mode tabs to choose from: press Start to begin, Pause to stop the clock where it is, and Reset to return to a fresh 25:00. Use it when you want a defined interval for reading a chapter, drafting a note, preparing a meal component or tidying a workspace. Choose tasks where a browser reminder is convenient, rather than essential for safety.

Pause deliberately, then return

A paused countdown preserves its remaining time, including after a refresh. If the countdown is running, Still saves an end time on your device and calculates what remains when the page becomes active again. This avoids counting a delayed browser tick as a full second of real time. Closing the page does not schedule a system alarm; a suspended device may delay the completion message or sound.

Keep the interval simple

Optional pink noise is generated in your browser and can be turned off without changing the countdown. Start at a comfortable volume. You do not need to finish every task in exactly one interval: write down the next step before taking a break, then reset for a new countdown when you want to continue. The timer provides a boundary, not a claim about how much work you should accomplish.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a Pomodoro cycle?

This page is one 25-minute countdown. For focus and break modes, use the home Pomodoro timer.

What happens at zero?

The countdown stops and shows a completion message. A chime plays if browser audio is available.

Does it work when my phone is locked?

Browsers may suspend a locked phone. The display catches up later, but the sound can be delayed. Keep the device awake if timing matters.
