A player that stands on its own
This pink noise player works without starting a focus countdown. Turn the sound on, adjust the volume and leave it running while you read, write or take a quiet break. The sound is synthesized locally using the Web Audio API rather than streamed as an audio file. It is a continuous random background, not a playlist, rain recording or promise of a particular effect.
Choose when the sound stops
Select Off for no automatic stopping time, or choose 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The stopping interval begins when you turn on the sound. Changing the selection while sound is playing replaces the stopping time from that moment. The display shows the time remaining when a stopping time is active. You can always turn the player off yourself before that point.
Use a comfortable listening level
Start with low volume and adjust to the space around you. Silence is an equally valid choice. Your volume preference is stored on this device, but refreshing never resumes audio automatically. Browser and device power-saving behavior can pause processing or delay a scheduled stop, so this player should not be relied on for time-critical reminders. If you want timed focus and breaks together, open the Pomodoro or study timer from the related tools.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an audio file or subscription?
No. The browser generates pink noise on your device.
Will it start playing when I return?
No. You must press the sound button after loading the page.
What if the device sleeps?
The browser may pause audio or timers. The stopping time is checked again when the page runs; use the power or volume controls if you need to stop sound immediately.
