Plan a longer work block
The Pomodoro 50 10 rhythm gives a task a longer uninterrupted interval than the standard 25/5 pattern. The defaults on this page are 50 minutes of focus, a 10-minute short break and a 30-minute long break. These are available choices, not a rule that fits every person or task. Each mode starts manually, so you decide when a work block or a break begins.
Choose work with a natural middle
A longer block can be useful when a task takes time to set up: inspecting a problem, reading a substantial section or developing a draft. Before starting, define the result you want to leave behind. Keep a small interruption list rather than switching to every new thought. If an urgent interruption arrives, pause the timer and return deliberately; restarting from zero is always optional.
Make the break a real change
When the 50-minute interval ends, choose the 10-minute mode and start it when ready. You might move away from the screen, get water or review what remains to do. Select the 30-minute long break when a longer pause suits your schedule. Still does not prescribe how many rounds are right for you, and automatic next sessions are off unless you enable them. Your active end time and volume are restored after a refresh on this device.
